POSITION SUMMARY: BASIC FUNCTION

The DEI Program Manager designs, executes and manages the company-wide Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives to strengthen our approach to the development of inclusive corporate culture that empowers people, fosters innovative thinking, and creates successful outcomes.

As the Chair of the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accountability (IDEA) Council, facilitates meetings, documents decisions, and provides other support as needed.

As the Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) program leader, supports and guides the implementation of ERGs, participates as an advocate, acts as the HR liaison of the organization, and assists with regional community activities in relation to ERGs. Conducts analyses to review program success and identifies opportunities for improvement.

This position requires strong interpersonal skills and project management skills necessary to collaborate and manage local resources to execute events, coordinate communications, and support enterprise-wide programs. This role requires close collaboration with executive leadership across the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drives and manages all DEI initiatives in alignment with the IDEA Council, ERGs, and other corporate DEI programs.
  • Partnering with HR management, analyzes employee and recruitment demographics to identify innovative opportunities and best practices; seeks employee insights through engagement surveys, conversations with employees, and insights gathered from managers.
  • Recommends new ideas and training solutions for DEI improvements utilizing data and KPIs to help inform and influence the business.
  • Regularly attends training to stay up to date on DEI regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborates with the HR, Marketing, IT, and other teams as necessary to improve the corporate culture with recruitment, onboarding, retention, and communication.
  • Oversees the company-wide Employee Resource Groups and IDEA Council programs.
  • Manages and organizes regional ERG events, including communication, community outreach, and participation.
  • Supervises and coaches the Employee Engagement and Communication Specialist to support company engagement programs and initiatives.
  • Creates presentations, forms, and reports for management as required.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is essential for satisfactory performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, psychology, business, communications, or related field.
  • 4 -- 5 years of experience with emphasis on owning and delivery of program strategy and communicating results to leadership.

  • Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending.
  • Able to hear and speak into a telephone.
  • Close visual work on a computer terminal.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Standard office environment
  • Extensive daily usage of workstation or computer.
  • This role is expected to be remote with an occasional need to be on-site in a shared space.
  • Occasional local and domestic travel, up to 10%
