Position Summary

The Solution Architect role will be a technical expert on Federal customer data ecosystems and how they can be optimized using Torch.AI technology applications. You will partner with the Federal Growth team, the Federal executive team, the Core Product Engineering team, and the Federal Customer Success team to support opportunity / deal qualification, technical deal shaping, technical demonstrations of Torch.AI technologies, and will devise technical approaches for Proof of Concept (POC) installations, proposals and won work installations. The selected candidate will gain knowledge of Torch.AI's proprietary AI-powered enterprise data ingest and orchestration platform and will apply this knowledge to transforming the mission outcomes of our customers.

Major Job Activities

  • Works with federal sales in the sales motion, positioning the customer for technical acceptance and closing the sale.
  • Leads scoping of new customer proposals and existing customer expansions, partnering with the Federal Delivery team.
  • Support transition activities and technical exchanges with the Federal Delivery team to ensure smooth transition and implementation of delivery actions.
  • Excellent business and technical communication, explanation, and presentation of complex technical topics to both business executive and technical personnel.
  • Ability to ideate and describe complex technical solutions to business, mission, and technical personnel.
  • Technical solution design and scoping of solutions based on the Torch.AI platform.
  • Consultation and collaboration with internal stake holders, industry partners and client prospects.
  • Create and maintain demonstratable use cases within the product to support specific opportunity types within the Federal space.
  • Develop and maintain competitive product intelligence for use in positioning and product roadmap considerations.
  • Support content creation and proposal response contribution.
 
Position Requirements

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical related field, with 8 + years of relevant work experience in the technology industry.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability work with non-technical staff and to articulate technical solutions and rationale for design decisions.
  • Experience in Federal customer facing sales roles, to include software sales, orals presentations and technical demonstrations.
  • Experience leading the development of technical solutions for sales and business development.
  • Experience in contributing technical content to white papers, RFI responses, and proposals.
  • Experience in conducting technical trade studies, product evaluations, or research projects.
  • 5+ years working with data focused Federal customers in a consultative role to develop and/or implement data ecosystem-based technology solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced unstructured data (textual data preferred) domain knowledge in US Federal customer data ecosystems and environments.
  • Understanding of the Federal Authority To Operate (ATO) approval processes, NIPR/SIPR/JWICS data environments and FedRAMP environments.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and the proposed technical architecture for proposals and contracts.
  • Experience and/or expertise in the following areas: data architecture, database engineering, structured and unstructured text analytics, full-stack analytics technology, data warehousing, database development/management, System Administration, custom software implementation, AI/ML, System Architecture Software/Systems Development, Cloud Architecture.
  • Prior exposure to multiple, diverse data focused technologies and data processing environments.
  • Knowledge of all components of holistic enterprise architecture, business re-engineering principles, and processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of J2EE architecture/design patterns, Object Oriented Design methodologies, SOA, data modeling techniques, RESTful APIs and SOAP.
  • Experience working with relational (MySQL, Postgres, and/or MSSQL Server) and NoSQL (Mongo, Arango, Elasticsearch) databases, ORMs/ODMs, basic query analysis and performance optimization
  • Experience in system integration and microservices architecture.
  • Strong experience designing / developing with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer).
  • Solid knowledge of OOP software concepts, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Technical mindset with great attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of AWS Gov, MS Azure Cloud IL5+ or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of Dockers, Kubernetes (container), and SaaS Architecture.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in architecting high performance scalable J2EE applications on Linux/Unix/RHEL platforms with one or more of the following: Java Web Services, JSP, EJB, Struts, Spring, Ant, JSF JMS, XML, JBoss, JDeveloper, Boot, JSON, Maven, OpenAPI.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) level experience and/or expertise in the Data Engineering AND/OR Data Science realm.
  • Proven experience designing transactional and messaging systems.
  • Proven experience constructing data models and activity process models.
  • Experience with hierarchical and relational database structures.
  • Excellent knowledge of UML and other modeling methods.

Federal Clearance Requirements:

The successful candidate must have or be able to obtain an active U.S. Government SECRET Security Clearance and/or a Public Trust (HIGH) Clearance. Ability to meet Torch.AI, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.

US Citizenship:

The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.

Background Screening:

Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a background screening. Required Screenings will be administered on a recurring basis.
