Description

Position Objective: Supports the Museum mission by performing duties in acquisition, organization, and distribution of supplies for Innovation and Learning Programs. As a member of the Innovation and Learning team, this position also includes facilitation and delivery of educational programming.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee organization of program materials, classrooms, and storage spaces
    • Oversee and coordinate organization and packaging of Summer Camp Materials bins, documents, and resources.
    • Replenish supplies for ongoing programs as needed
    • Organize and reshelve materials after program delivery
    • Facilitate regular team cleaning at the end of programming seasons
    • Create general catalogs of materials for storage spaces and system for tracking their use
  • Source and purchase Innovation and Learning programming supplies
  • Organize monthly purchasing reports for delivery to accounting
  • Assist in facilitation of Innovation and Learning programs for children and adults.
  • Curriculum development for Summer Camps and other educational programs as needed.
  • Coordinate across departments to maintain clean and functional learning environments
  • Facilitate work for volunteers
  • Attend weekly staff meetings
  • Some weekend and evening work required
  • Additional duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience in supply management and purchasing
  • Passion for organizing systems and spaces
  • An interest in informal science discovery
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure with a positive attitude and creative problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to be on their feet for up to 6 hours at a time, walk distances of up to one mile over varying terrains, be able to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to work outside in all weather
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Able to pass background check prior to employment

Desired:

  • Bilingual proficiency
  • Experience with inventory management systems
  • Experience writing curriculum
  • Previous experience teaching in a formal or informal education setting, particular in summer camp settings
 
Shift Days  
Pay Range $15.50/ hr
