JOB SUMMARY

The Vice President of Aftersales will be responsible for parts and service functions, including charging program solutions, parts and accessory planning, parts supply chain, process improvement, service retention, customer experience, product quality and support, technical training, warranty, and customer relations, to support the achievement of VinFast US aftersales objectives for Northern California.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Responsible for analysing, developing, and implementing a strategic service network developing an innovative market study approach to determine the optimal service center count and locations within any given market
  • Oversee customer service operations, technical services operations, vehicle quality and engineering parts logistics and warranties of electric vehicles
  • Leadership of end-to-end vehicle recharging strategy including logistics, home, public, fleet, &
    branded VinFast network
  • Recruitment, leadership, direction, and management of the area services
  • Development of market readiness plan to ensure smooth VinFast Northern California launch
  • Establishment of service center and mobile service strategy including design, tooling, standards, visual management, and staffing
  • Develop and manage EV Charging network
  • Establish and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business
  • Maintain high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality
  • Understand and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
  • Ongoing interaction/communications with the VinFast US and Vietnam Global Aftersales team to collaborate on various operational activities, goals, and objectives
  • Establishment and ongoing development of relationships with senior management (German/France/Netherland), internal stakeholders, and external partners
  • Management and forecasting of budget involved with all aftersales
  • Maintaining of proper capital flows to fund the business’s key strategic initiatives
  • Provide consultative guidance and suggestions in automotive market in US including market entry strategy, the market dynamics, pricing analyst’s competitiveness landscape, and major/minor players.
  • Establishment and ongoing development of relationships with government officials, internal
    stakeholders, and external partners regarding to EV after sales service
  • Supply input and advice on long-term business and financial planning
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Master’s Degree a plus
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of automotive aftersales operations and programs
  • 15+ years of hands-on OEM professional-level experience which may include, parts planning, warranty, customer service, marketing
  • 10+ years of people/team management experience, including manager-level positions
  • Strong knowledge in governmental policies and regulations, safety protocols & standards and homologation
  • Experience building standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Comprehensive computer skills and working knowledge of systems including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, parts inventory, retail inventory management, and other related applications.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven track record of influencing teams to achieve objectives
  • May require up to 35% travel
