Location: Waltham, MA

We are currently seeking rising undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors working towards obtaining a degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or related fields for an 8-10 week internship during the summer of 2022. 

Objectives/Goals of this Position:

  • Gain practical, bench-based drug discovery experience in a pharmaceutical setting.
  • Conduct cutting-edge research in cancer drug development.

Primary Duties:

  • Design and perform a variety of molecular and cellular biology experiments including cell culture, western blot, RT-PCT, CRISPR-based gene editing, etc.
  • Maintain multiple cancer cell lines to support research activities.
  • Test drug candidates using biochemical and cell based assays.
  • Collect and analyze experimental results; Record experimental procedures and scientific findings in lab notebook.
  • Summarize and present frequent updates at project team meetings.
 
Position Requirements
  • Rising undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors working towards obtaining a degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Must be a current college student who has completed advanced biology and biochemistry courses.
  • Knowledge of basic biology techniques (e.g. cell culture, PCR, Western Blot, etc.) is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong enthusiasm and work ethics; Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with Adobe Software and GraphPad Prism preferred.
  • Strong desired to pursue a scientific career in the future.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0 preferred.
