As part of the advancement team, the communications manager will help craft compelling, innovative communications, including content for iamboundlesss.org and boundlesshealth.org, newsletter copy, executive communications, philanthropic appeals, and various internal communications. The communications manager will work closely with the communications and marketing team, philanthropy team, and human resources to advance the Boundless mission. What You Will Be Doing The Communications Manager will be responsible for assisting with content creation, internal and external communication plans, media placement, and social media content and strategies. The manager will create engaging original content that adheres to best practices in messaging and brand management. The manager will also cultivate and analyze data that will be used to inform strategic decisions by stakeholders from across the company. The communications manager will work collaboratively as a member of the Advancement and Communications team and in conjunction with the philanthropy manager. Writes and edits engaging original content for Boundless, including newsletters, program descriptions, internal communications, blogs, white papers, executive communications; content for the Boundless website; and other materials Partners with the communications and marketing director to develop and execute long-term and short-term strategies, programs, and activities to strengthen Boundless internal communications Works closely with human resources to develop persuasive recruitment materials and clear training materials Collaborates with the public relations manager and the marketing and social media manager to collect and share impactful stories on Boundless platforms Assists with communications of special events and promotions. Experience in writing, editing, publicity, media relations, human resources, publication production, and disseminating news releases; desktop publishing experience and skills. Proven track record of developing and/or managing robust internal communications programs Preferred Education and Experience Experience with electronic communication, computers, fundraising, Wordpress, Drupal, Salesforce, and marketing; basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; experience with web authoring; excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and commitment to quality. Experience working in the field of developmental disabilities.
