R&D Operations Support Manager

Reporting to: R&D Director
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Job Summary:
The R&D Operations Support Manager will directly support manufacturing and operations by providing subject matter expertise, trouble shooting, and standardization of workflows. The R&D Operations Manager will consult with R&D personnel and manufacturing leadership on new and existing processes and products and provide guidance accordingly. The R&D Operational Support Manager will report directly to the Director of Research & Development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deploy to manufacturing work sites to facilitate troubleshooting and set up new processes.
- Review of manufacturing and extraction processes to provide technical guidance to standardize processes nationwide.
- Monitors technologies used by other manufacturers.
- Set up extraction labs and post processing.
- Support continuous improvement of processing lines.
- Support product development.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
- Travel to other states to provide troubleshooting, standardization, and facilitate R&D and product launch initiatives.
- Constant walking and standing on hard surfaces. Need to be able to climb and descend steps.
- Frequent bending, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exposed to cool and hot temperatures in addition to noise.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, engineering, or comparable technical field.
- At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in process and manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Cannabis extraction experience.
- Must have the ability to manage new and multiple projects from concept to commercialization.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership experience.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- Ability to use existing resources to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Ability to interpret statistics and research data.
- Must have proficient problem-solving skills.
- Must have proficient training, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be self-motivated, an excellent team player, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent computer skills - Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Program Management tools, etc.
