About the Organization Founded in 1996 by parents who sought the very best treatment available to deliver opportunities to children and adolescents living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Minnesota Autism Center (MAC) provides therapeutic services for children ages 18 months to 21 years who have ASD.



MAC's services are center-based and in-home, and include speech and occupational therapy, assessment and diagnosis services, and individual and family therapy. At any given time, MAC serves approximately 370-400 clients throughout Minnesota at 17 centers located in Eagan, Eden Prairie, Maple Grove, Fridley, Vadnais Heights, Minnetonka, Woodbury, Duluth, Virginia, Mankato, Rochester, Red Wing, New Ulm, Medford, Hutchinson and Cambridge.



 
Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Duties will include, but are not limited to, managing daily staff attendance, PTO requests and timesheet approval, conducting second hiring interviews, delivering hiring recommendations, addressing staff disciplinary actions, providing staff recognition and evaluation.
  • Responsible for coordinating and providing information regarding staffing and scheduling needs within the region with Human Resources, Operations and Therap Scheduling staff on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Responsible for coordinating and collaborating on therapist professional, clinical, and if appropriate, leadership development with the Training Department.
  • Responsible for monitoring and analyzing regional utilization rates and other performance metrics and instituting appropriate operational adjustments as needed based on those results.
  • Partner with Clinical Supervisors working within assigned region to enhance services
  • Responsible for monitoring and adhering to monthly budget/forecast constraints for locations assigned within region
  • Daily regional liaison with corporate leadership. Attendance and participation at leadership meetings
  • Ensure appropriate use and enforcement of organizational systems and policies
  • Ability to develop, engage, and inspire a team that meets operational and strategic goals
  • Manage situations involving staff, clients and parents effectively and with professionalism
  • Self-motivated, reliable and able to lead a diverse environment
  • Uphold Minnesota State Statutes and ethical approaches for therapeutic services

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Health and Human Services preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of progressive growth working as a DSP or similar in the Mental Health Field with a minimum three years managing people
  • Experience working individuals on the Autism Spectrum preferred
  • Experience managing a geographically dispersed team preferred
  • Proven success supervising and motivating a diverse team
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build team rapport
  • Effective leadership skills including multi-tasking, prioritizing and goal setting
  • Experience effectively managing a budget and operational metrics, including creating and analyzing reports
