JOB DUTIES: The following description of job responsibilities and standards is intended to reflect the major responsibilities and duties of the job, but is not intended to describe minor duties or other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.   Mammography: 1. Technologist is responsible for performing any and all exams within Mammography. This will include; screenings, diagnostic exams, magnification spot view and compression spot views, biopsy, and tomosythesis. 2. The Technologist will be able to perform all Q.A. and Q.C. in regards to Mammography. This shall include all testing required prior to the first patient.   JOB KNOWLEDGE: Requires good communication and organization skills. Must have legible handwriting. Working knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications to adequately understand radiologist’s orders. Must have ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and ability to communicate medical information correctly and clearly. A.S. Degree in Radiological Technology from an accredited school, registered in California, CRT and with the A.R.R.T. 2. Certificate in basic cardiopulmonary life support. 3. Must meet Continuing Education requirements. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Moderate amount of lifting and positioning of patients and equipment. Position requires ability to constantly lift objects heavier than 30 pounds, perform difficult manipulative skills, walk and stand for prolonged periods. Must be able to stoop, reach, kneel and crouch. Position requires ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption and attend to tasks for 5 to 30 minutes at a time. Individuals must be able to understand and relate theories behind several related concepts and remember multiple tasks given to self and others over long periods of time.
