Description

An Inventory Specialists main responsibility includes overseeing the inventory in multiple locations throughout the company. Maintaining both the physical and systematic flow of the inventory. Ensuring the accuracy of all transactions. Meeting inventory goals as set by the senior inventory leadership.

 
Position Requirements

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Process data entry of warehouse sheets for multiple locations.
  • Travel and meet with individual sites that contain product and audit materials and procedures.
  • Process data entry of Inventory counts for multiple locations.
  • Reconcile any discrepancies between physical counts and the system on hand.
  • Audit and research multiple company locations for entry errors
  • Ensure that all locations are adhering to Track Utilities inventory policies, procedures, and processes
  • Control and organize storage and inventory space.
  • Interact with customers (Internal and External) to resolve problems or answer questions
  • Maintain records, utilize specialized reports, and document relevant information.
  • Identify operations needing development and institute innovations to adjust current work practices and procedures.
  • Provide training as needed to all operational groups and locations within the company locations.
  • Review/Approve Invoices for payment confirming that the correct pricing and materials were received
  • Staggered 8-hour shifts between 6 am-6 pm
  • Travel up to 40 %

 

Career Progression

  • 2-5 years in Inventory Specialist II position or a combination of education and years.
  • Lean Manufacturing certification
  • Training in ERP and MRP system
  • Completion of Track Management Program
  • Ability to work independently

 

Job Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience - warehouse and inventory material handling
  • High School Diploma/GED required - 2-4 College Degree Preferred
  • Efficient Inventory techniques and skills standards to the industry
  • Understanding of inventory software application packages and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Knowledge of ERP and MRP practices
  • Conventional critical thinking, problem-solving, and intuitive inventory fundamentals
  • Ability to retrieve, analyze, and input data
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Fantastic Customer Service

 

Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:

  • Forklift experience
  • Bilingual-preferred
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Idaho Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.
  • Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
