Trump Winery, named one of the “Best places to work in Charlottesville” is looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our team.  

The Warehouse Manager roles reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing and will oversee primary warehouse functions for our E-commerce business. Responsible for day-to-day functions for entire fulfillment process which include, processing orders, managing returns, assigning pick and pack, executing shipping. Timely processing of Tasting Room and Estate replenishments and receiving of incoming stock. Maintain inventory and inventory locations/movements. The right candidate for this role must be a problem solver and able to streamline processes to improve efficiency and productivity.

Location: Trump Winery, 20 minutes south of Downtown Charlottesville

Wage: $25-$26 per hour

Schedule: The job is full-time and is typically completed Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, though some weekend hours are required. Open availability during peak season (October through December) is needed.  Mandatory availability Black Friday - Cyber Monday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Safely oversee warehouse activities including but not limited to ecommerce, distribution, shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Manage all aspects of Trump Winery's e-commerce fulfillment operations, including oversight of a growing warehouse team.
  • Manage the fast pace associated with day-to-day operations in a $5+ million/year e-commerce business and maintain a positive, motivating leadership presence.
  • Supervision of warehouse activity including but not limited to all ecommerce, Tasting Room, and Albemarle Estate, wine club shipment, distributor, and event orders.
  • Organize workload on a daily and weekly basis to maximize efficiency and meet company goals.
  • Maintain accurate wine, merchandise, and supply inventory through weekly and monthly counts; update inventory levels in software system, and notify managers and purchasing department of low stock items and inventory discrepancies.
  • Perform regular communication standards and expectations, ensure understanding and accountability.
  • Develop and implement new process for efficient fulfillment of ecommerce.
  • Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity.
  • Identify operational metrics to manage, and report these metrics across the team and to upper management.
  • Create a plan to organize and maintain the organization of the warehouse.
  • Resolve carrier shipment damage claims.
  • Instill our Never Settle attitude through the day by motivating, teaching, and holding team members accountable to known standards and positive reinforcement of the correct behavior.
  • Review and approve time sheets for bi-weekly payroll processing for warehouse staff.
  • Submit approved invoices to the accounting department for warehouse budget.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years supervisor experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment
  • 5+ years’ experience managing a 5+ million dollar year ecommerce warehouse.
  • Experience implementing new strategies for fulfillment and inventory operations.
  • Positive, professional, detail-oriented
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Self-directed and able to take initiative; work independently without supervision.
  • Ability to work with manager to set priorities, and complete tasks accurately and timely
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Customer focused, flexible, innovative
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push/pull 60 pounds repeatedly
  • Must be comfortable on a ladder, reaching and twisting overhead
  • Must be able to stand on feet for 8 hours
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with POS
  • Proficiency with fork lift (will provide class for certification if not certified), pallet jack and hand trucks
  • Valid VA driver’s license and clean driving record
