Benefits Administrator 



This position is responsible for supporting USA Truck’s purpose through allowing our team members to be confident that their benefits and leave entitlements are administered properly, which allows for their focus to remain on providing exceptional service to our customers.



  • Carries out responsibilities in benefits, administering and advising employees and management on the interpretation of benefit policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Oversee and provide accurate and timely administration of the company’s insurance benefits plans and leaves of absence offerings.
  • Provide support to USA Truck Team Members’ regarding benefits and leave inquiries/issues.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide support in processing hires, terminations, and employment status changes
  • Provide backup support and work functions of the personnel supervisor
  • Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.
  • Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.
Position Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of human resources/benefits administration related experience.

This position does not supervise others.



This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required:

  • to sit, stand, stoop, kneel and occasionally move up to 20 pounds,
  • manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard on a daily basis,
  • stamina to sit for extended periods of time, lift or carry printed materials, and
  • possess vision sufficient to read a monitor, printed text and hand written documents,
  • Be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
