Clinical Director 


Turning Point Community Programs is seeking a Clinical Director for our TSS Solano Program in Fairfield. Turning Point Community Programs (TPCP) provides integrated, cost-effective mental health services, employment and housing for adults, children and their families that promote recovery, independence and self-sufficiency. Under the administrative supervision of the Program Director, this position is responsible for the clinical supervision of Quality Assurance Coordinators, Personal Service Coordinators, Interns; and assisting the Program Director in the functioning of the program.


This is an at-will leadership position within a program. Additionally, this position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of assigned staff who perform the established duties of the program.  This is a management position responsible for ensuring that clinical needs of members are met, and that necessary paperwork is complete and accurate.

  • Provides individual, couples, family and group therapy under supervision of LCSW or LMFT
  • Provides support for new hire training
  • Conducts intake assessment meetings and complete necessary documentation
  • Provides oversight for program outcomes and KETS
  • Provides oversight for regional center SIR compliance standards in addition to approvals
  • Assists teams with coordination and conduct of individual service plan meetings and plans that reflect measurable objectives.
  • Assists team in prioritizing resources to complete paperwork requirements and outline areas for improvement in documentation.
  • Ensures that paperwork standards are met.
  • Assists the Program Director in all areas of program development as needed. 
  • Problem solves communication difficulties between staff and clients by providing interventions to enhance communication.
  • Provides in-service training and workshops.
  • Visits clients periodically to provide direction and support.
  • Provides prompt intervention in the event of a crisis both to stop the crisis and to notify, when indicated, persons and agencies necessary for the resolution of the crisis situation. Provides “on-the-spot” counseling that is both helpful to the clients and consistent with the philosophy of the program.
  • Conducts Quality Management activities as directed by the program Director, such as preparation for Utilization and Review audits, internal audits, review of services provision and charting, and other projects as assigned.
  • Facilitate groups, provide individual and family therapy, and update diagnosis for clients not receiving medication management services from the program psychiatrist.

  • Plan, organize, implement and evaluate programs.
  • Get to multiple locations typically via car.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Position Requirements


Education, Training and Experience

A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is through graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field and valid registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS); varied experience as a provider of mental health services.

Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:

  • California driver’s license & current vehicle insurance/registration if driving; and,
  • Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport inclusive of bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles.
  • License eligibility/registration with BBS or CA Board of Psychology
