Share Title Service Clerk  Description PURPOSE Through direct interaction with drivers, determine maintenance and/or mechanical related issues with equipment and create descriptive repair information for repairing technician. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Interpret driver issues and create descriptive repair information for repairing technician. Schedule service and repairs in the shop through consultation with the shift supervisor. Monitor and report estimated time of completion for driver and Operations. Create and update purchase orders for parts and units at local vendors. Provide prompt and courteous customer service for our driver team members. Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience. Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results. Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.   Position Requirements Qualifications and Education Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with Class 8 vehicle equipment. Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time. Preferred Skills Good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to perform tasks in extremely hot and cold environments. SUPERVISES OTHERS This position does not supervise others.
