Desktop Support Technician

Salary: $55000 - $60000

Peak USG is in need of a desktop support technician to provide Information Technology support across its operating companies.  Reporting to and under the direction of the Director of IT, the desktop support technician would provide technical assistance and analysis to employees and contractors.  This position requires excellent customer service skills both on the phone and in person.  Candidates must be service-oriented and able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, including upper management and remote field management - this includes both written and verbal communication skills.  Must be proactive and able to anticipate, analyze and resolve issues under pressure.  Significant opportunity for professional growth.



Including but not limited to:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues for end users
  • Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution
  • Install, configure, maintain, and support PC hardware and software for the company's end user computing environment
  • Maintain inventory database, assign hardware and software assets, and manage warranty and service agreement information
  • Receive and manage support requests by phone, e-mail, and/or ticketing systems.
  • Support network and desktop printers
  • Provide support for company-issued mobile devices (Android, iOS).
  • Work with vendors to troubleshoot problems with hardware and software
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years' hands-on desktop support experience and helpdesk experience in a Microsoft environment.
  • Proficient with  Microsoft operating systems , the entire Microsoft Office  suite
  • Knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or comparable enterprise desktop imaging and software deployment platform.
  • Communicates clearly and in an understandable manner with a wide range of people such as executives, managers, field employees and office staff.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize several projects and tasks at one time
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and willing to drive to, and work at multiple office locations in the Denver metro area.
