Valley Community Services Board serves as the single point of entry into publicly funded mental health, developmental, and substance use disorder services for these localities.

Description

CLINICAL SUPERVISION FOR LICENSURE PROVIDED

Valley Community Services Board is looking for a masters level individual to join our Team at Middle River Regional Jail.   Incumbent will provide licensed Outpatient services to individuals at the Jail determined to be living with Serious Mental Illness. 

Benefits:

  • Sign-on bonus of $1500.00 included in full with the first paycheck
  • Up to 10% compensation increase available for obtaining relevant certifications

Summary of Essential Functions:

  • Provide individual, group, and case management to clients residing in jail.
  • Complete assessments, develop treatment plans and provide individual/group therapy to incarcerated individuals living with Serious Mental Illnesses.
  • Provide crisis intervention, prescreening for inpatient substance abuse detoxification and discharge planning.
  • Provide crisis stabilization services.
  • Complies with client rights and confidentiality policies, licensure and Medicaid regulations.

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with a major course of study in Human Services (e.g., Counseling, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling) and must be acceptable by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a sufficient master’s degree to allow licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Substance Abuse Practitioner, or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. 
  • LPC- or LCSW-eligible required.
