Because it plays an integral role in the entire event experience for guests, ideal candidates for Bartender are knowledgeable, friendly and fun, displaying a sense of humble flair while demonstrating proficiency in producing cocktails and familiarity with wines and beers.
General responsibilities include setting up and breaking down bar(s) in a timely and consistent manner and maintaining cleanliness and order of work areas throughout events. This includes setting out glassware and product, preparing garnishes and procuring all other items needed for the event, such as any specialty cocktail ingredients, receptacles and ice following protocol and to standard. Consistent and proper pours, inventory tracking and inventory control are also important as well as responsible serving that help ensures safety of guests, accordingly.
Additional responsibilities include unloading and loading trucks during offsite events, performing cash bar procedures, greeting and communicating with guests courteously, identifying and solving guest issues, working as team with all colleagues/event staff while upholding Bold American standards of freshness, quality, service and appearance.
Other responsibilities revolve around details in closing out procedures as well as working in the server position on an as needed basis.
