LaForce is looking for a CNC Programmer to be responsible for preparing shop floor information for manufacturing of Hollow Metal Doors and Frames, and their components. This person will also be responsible for designing parts for production, determining flat size, quantity, and developing CNC programs for CNC fabricating equipment. Major Responsibilities Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, tool sequencing, machine speeds and feed rates. Interpret hardware templates and determine appropriate location and size of cutouts in doors and frames. Compute dimensions, curvatures, and outlines sequence of operations required to part. Write instruction sheets and shear lists to guide setup and operation of machine. Compare/evaluate CNC program sheet to assure accuracy of machine instructions. Qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or six months to a year of related experience. Knowledge of AutoCAD Design software, inventory software, manufacturing software and spreadsheet software is required. Ability to define practical problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to solve problems.
