As HR Manager West Coast, you will be responsible for aspects of Human Resources for the region, including recruiting, employee relations,compensation, benefit management, and talent management. Partnering with local management, corporate offices, and the Director of Human Resources to drive both tactical and strategic HR initiatives across the various locations. The west coast region includes Washington, California, and Hawaii
Job Summary:
- Provides overall support to the Director of Human Resources and Property Management Directors and Corporate Team in the West Coast region
- Actively involved in supporting local, and regional recruiting efforts.
- Oversight for the Benefits and Leave team tregarding Benefits, Worker’s Compensation, FMLA. Leave of Absence, and ADA processes including generating decision letters and other communications with employees.
- Advising and guiding community associates’ basic human resources inquiries as a supportive HR presence in the company in areas of progressive discipline, policy, protocol and our HRIS
- Partnering with Managers, Regional Managers, Directors and Corporate Office team on people development initiatives; developing strong present and future leadership talent within the organization.
- Ensuring effective and consistent compliance management processes and procedures are being met across all locations.
- Manage and resolve complex employees’ relations issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Provide day to day performance management, HR policy guidance and interpretation to leaders including but not limited to coaching, counseling, career development, training/development and terminations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
