Share Email Opening Title Part-Time Central Processing Specialist  Description This part-time position that performs a variety of clerical duties relative to the collection and maintenance of computerized data received from individuals who are detained at the Charles County Detention Center, to include those inmates that have been sentenced or inmates awaiting trial. The employee receives supervision from, and reports directly to, the Supervisor, Central Processing Unit and will be required to have indirect contact with inmates.   Position Requirements ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS * Graduation from a recognized high school or possession of a General Education Development (GED) certificate recognized by the Maryland State Board of Education. * One (1) year of general office experience to include computer terminal operation experience, or, any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. * Ability to pass a typing test of 25 words per minute, along with various other computer skills tests such as spelling, grammar, and data entry.   Full-Time/Part-Time Part-Time   Shift Various Shifts   Salary $19.79 per hour   Close Date 12/14/2021   About the Organization The Charles County Sheriff's Office is a full-service law enforcement agency responsible for preventing and investigating crime, operating the county detention center and performing the court-related functions of a traditional Sheriff's Office.
