Summary/Objective:

The Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist will support Wakely users and help maintain the information technology infrastructure for Wakely's local data centers and associated remote offices.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist users with logon issues, computer configuration, and other support situations
  • Provide help in use of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and mobile operating systems
  • Configure and deploy new technology systems as directed, including testing new software
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting
  • Maintain accurate ticket and inventory records
  • Maintain cloud system user accounts including Microsoft Office 365 email and SharePoint Online
  • Assist system administrators with installation and maintenance of server and network infrastructure
  • Assist with internal security compliance processes
  • Assist in facilities management as it pertains to IT infrastructure, new builds, relocations, and shared office space
  • Assist with the training of employees in technology and security related topics
  • Other duties as requested or assigned

Position Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • 3-4 years of experience in IT system and user support
  • Experience with Active Directory, Windows Server 2012+, and VMware vSphere or similar hypervisor
  • Experience with business networking equipment
  • Experience supporting a remote workforce

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Industry recognized certification from CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.
  • Experience with HIPAA or other compliance framework
  • Experience with SQL Server 2012+
  • Associates or bachelor of science degree in information technology, computer information systems, computer science, or related field

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Schedule:

Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am through 5:00pm, 40 hours per week.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

Physical Demands:

This would require the ability to lift equipment, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.  Should be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

Travel:

This position requires less than 10% travel.
