Position Summary:

The Leisure Sales Manager supports a wide range of Leisure Sales efforts along with operational support for Edgewood Tahoe. The ideal candidate has a proven background in luxury hotel sales and general understanding of hotel and resort operations. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to manage professional and high-level communications both internally and externally. Must be able to work in a team-based environment, while also having the ability to work independently. This entry-level sales manager role would be a great fit for someone with previous sales coordinator, reservations lead, or operations supervisor experience who is ready for the next step. Self-motivation is critical to this position. Knowledge of Travel Agency accounts and affiliations is helpful.

This position will exhibit excellence in cultivating the Edgewood Vision by executing both team member and guest engagement standards.

Essential Leisure Sales Functions:

  • Manage key travel agency, consortia, and wholesale operator accounts as assigned
  • Generate proposals and write contracts for wedding room blocks originating from travel agencies
  • Prospect potential leisure clients within assigned market
  • Conduct Site Inspections, Assist Reservations team members in closing new business
  • Assist the reservation team on quoting, relationship management, and related best practices.
  • Assist Concierge and Front Office team on VIP guest arrivals, interactions, and other directives
  • Develop and execute Sales & Marketing plan for assigned territory & markets
  • Attend Tradeshows, Meetings, and Client events as needed to grow account relationships. Business travel and/or virtual tradeshows and client trainings will be required
  • Provide account reporting, market data, and other insights on regular basis
  • Provide support for sales activities for larger, more complex accounts - and other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Support all leisure sales tasks and account management when Director of Leisure Sales is out of the office
Position Requirements

Qualifications / Special Skills:

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel/Restaurant Management, Communications or related major preferred or equivalent 2-year accredited degree in Hospitality
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communications
  • Prior experience in Luxury and/or Resort Hotel Sales or Operations
  • Prior leisure sales experience is preferred
