The candidate will interface with the business development, capture, and proposal specialists to provide technical responses to government-issued solicitations, including requests for proposals, requests for quotations, and requests for information.   Position Requirements BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated experience writing and delivering exemplary technical documentation and proposal related materials for engineering audiences. Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, technical writing, or related field preferred. Must be able to read, comprehend and interpret technical documents (i.e., requirements, specifications, military and commercial standards, etc.), engineering drawings (includes change notices) and related technical data packages. Minimum of five (5) years’ demonstrated work and writing experience within an engineering work environment. Government proposal, grant, or other solicitation experience desired Excellent writing skills with the ability to clearly translate highly technical information into easily used and understandable text and illustrations. Must possess good interpersonal, organizational, and prioritizing skills; Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel; Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Must be able to qualify for and maintain a secret security clearance; Must be a U.S. Citizen. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Gather information needed to develop technically, compliant responses using research, interviews with technical personnel, managers, and other parties as required. Translate complex information gathered into clear, concise, and persuasive content. Work with the Business Development team to develop strategies based on solicitation requirements and performance work statements. Assist with preparing infographics, flowcharts, and other visual elements. Participate in capture and proposal strategy reviews and solution sessions. Identify gaps and risks to solicitations/responses and work with team members and leadership to resolve them. Assist the Business Development department with solution development and other capture support activities prior to solicitation release, as needed. Write and edit content for capability statements. Develop and write technical documentation to support proposals. Conduct interviews with SMEs to gather data for content. Responsible for handling multiple projects at one time.
