Description

Alliant has an exceptional opportunity available for a Construction Inspector on our team in the Jacksonville, Florida office. Responsibilities:

As a Construction Inspector you will be doing project inspection, verifying conformance with plans and specifications, preparing pay estimates, maintaining detailed records, coordinating materials testing activities, performing quantity calculations, and producing project documentation.  May be asked to assist with project pursuits, including developing inspection scope of work, staff requirements, and certification rolls.

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Requires strong construction background with experience working on municipal, heavy civil roadway, and Land Development projects.
  • Requires proficiency with math, surveying, construction plans, materials testing, and construction materials and techniques as it applies to the work environment.
  • Performs specific field/technical assignments as directed by the Regional Manager.
  • Knowledge of construction terminology
  • Advanced computer skills to include some or all of the following program types:
    • AutoCAD Civil3D
    • Microsoft Office
    • Other applicable software applications
  • Serves as the primary field representative on complex projects. Interaction with project stakeholders including contractors, clients, and the general public on a project site will be necessary.

 

 Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Progressively responsible experience in maintenance, construction inspection, construction plan preparation and field management are necessary.
  • FDOT certifications (or able to obtain them)
  • Erosion Control Site Supervision certification (or able to obtain)
  • Valid Class C Florida driver’s license
