The Automation Engineer will be responsible for the overall assessment of the manufacturing process to ensure that they meet or exceed the company and customer's expectations. The major focus of this role will be on identification and implementation of automation for the current manufacturing environment, applying lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, including design and process improvements.

Position Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Lead the design and implementation of automation for existing and future production lines.  This includes a detailed business case, definition of equipment needed, and tracking the performance of the implemented solution for improved efficiency.
  • Develop automated quality inspection and error proofing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing inspection and validation methods and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and modify automation equipment and programming as needed for continued operational success and minimal downtime.
  • Work with cross functional teams to ensure design of manufacturability (DFM) and design for automation (DFA).
  • Identify and conduct Lean Manufacturing techniques on existing processes and work cells to improve safety, quality, efficiency and lower manufacturing costs through industry best practices and advanced automation.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other related Engineering degree is required.
  • 3 or more years of related experience is required.
