Job Title: Art Pro Technician

Position Summary: Converts supplied artwork into print-ready files using ArtPro and Apple suite applications. Color corrects artwork and liaises with customers on project status.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Report any potential food safety, legality, quality, or food defense concerns to the Plant Manager or Quality personnel
  • Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures
  • Prepare artwork files for customer approval
  • Incorporates all press specifications in files including marks, registration, gain curves, and profiles to achieve press matches.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for the use of graphic programs.
  • Operate Roland-proof equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Clean and perform routine maintenance on Roland-proof press.
  • Produce pre-production color samples on Proof Press and ship to customers.
  • Assist in preparing spec sheets and set-up sheets for Ink.
  • Step and repeat final art files for approval.
  • Perform all quality checks as per work instructions.
  • Assist with online and offline press checks as needed.
  • Read work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or materials requirements.
  • Modify color modifications on Proof Press
  • Log and record operational data on MIS
  • Order drawdowns
  • Maintains product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality systems
  • Report all potential food safety concerns to the quality assurance manager.
  • Perform all other job duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications required:

  • Experienced prepress operator.
  • Candidates must have at least 3-4 years in the print industry
  • Experience working with Esko, Photoshop/Illustrator and ArtPro
  • Possess good trapping skills
  • Color management experience
  • File management experience
  • Report any potential food safety, quality of food defense concerns to the General Manager or quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel.
  • Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures
  • All other duties as required

  • Rotogravure /Flexographic
  • Flexible packaging
