Description

The NAVSOF (Navy Special Operations Forces) IT (Information Technology) Systems Engineer will install, test, and support of Microsoft Windows based systems.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

  • Design, build, brief, and deploy NAVSOF's TACLAN Images.
  • Inventory, track, and resolve usability and configuration issues of new TACLAN Images.
  • Scan, remediate, rescan, and report to cognizant authority the status of Category I vulnerabilities in Support of the accreditation of new TACLAN Images.
  • Download, install, and verify Microsoft Updates in support of TACLAN Images.
  • Ability to construct documentation necessary to receive an Interim Authority to Operate (IATO).
  • Build small test networks in support of Network Security Vulnerability scanning.
  • Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Experience:

  • Will possess four (4) to six (6) years Systems Administrator Experience.
  • Will have experience with:
    • Active Directory 2003/2008 R2 - design/maintenance/troubleshooting.
    • Group Policy – design/troubleshooting.
    • McAfee VirusScan Enterprise/Host Intrusion Prevention.
    • Windows 7 and later client operating systems.
    • Microsoft ImageX (including WIM, DISM, etc…) required, Windows Deployment Services (WDS) a plus.
    • DNS/DHCP administration experience.
    • Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) administration.
  • Will possess strong client/server and network troubleshooting skills.
  • Will have experience with VPN and PKI technologies.
  • Will have Special Operation Foces or Naval Special Warfare experience.
  • Will have radio communications experience.
  • Will have two (2) to three (3) years Microsoft Automation experience.
  • Will have scripting experience in Batch, VBScript, PowerShell V1/2, & AutoIT.
  • Will posses Technical Writing skills to include: drafting Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents, accreditation documentation, and peer review of documents created by others.
  • Will have at least one (1) year experience with testing, quality assurance, and drafting test plans for functional testing and accreditation.

Education:

  • Degree in IT or Computer Science.
    • Four (4) years' experience can be used in lieu of a degree.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • ITIL V3 Certification.
  • A+ CE, CCNA – Security, Network+, or SSCP highly desired.

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Security Clearance: Top Secret security clearance required.

US Citizenship: This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
