Description

*NOW HIRING*

Full-Time Position / 40 Hours Per Week / Monday-Friday

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Interacting with patients via phone and in the office while displaying fantastic customer service.

  1. Answers telephone promptly and in a polite and professional manner.
  2. Checks voicemails in a timely fashion.
  3. Obtains and enters accurate demographic information into scheduling program.
  4. Schedules appointment and reviews appointment date, time, location and provider name with caller.
  5. Mails patient registration form and map to new patients.
  6. Answers questions and offers other information, as requested, and understands when to escalate calls to nursing staff, physician or practice manager.
  7. Directs calls to other departments as needed.
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. One year of experience in customer service and/or related clinical environment preferred.
  3. Working knowledge of medical terminology helpful.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively on the telephone.
  3. Ability to relate to persons with diverse educational, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds.
  4. Ability to work quickly and multi-task.
  5. Ability to exercise good judgement to handle calls appropriately.
  6. Ability to demonstrate good customer service.
