Our proven reputation for safety, reliability and flexibility comes from years of delivering on promises, the world over.   Location Tulsa, OK   Pay   Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES An OAI Safety and Security internship is designed to provide enrolled students insight, and exposure into the global operations of a safety and security within an airline. Duties shall include but are not limited to the following: Conduct safety and security related studies Monitor industry safety and security concerns which may have an impact on operations Monitor global news events and advise the department on situations unfolding around the world Prepare reports for the Safety and Security Department and senior management staff as needed Receive, compile and analyze aviation safety related reports Prepare and write reports, documents, spreadsheets and correspondence Compile and publish periodical distributions from departmental staff Perform other incidental duties as may be assigned by the Manager of Safety and Security     Position Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Currently enrolled as a full-time student at a university, college, or technical school Possess broad general aviation education The ability for clear expression in writing Good presentation and interpersonal skills Computer literacy Organizational ability The capability of working independently (at times under pressure) Good analytical skills Proficient verbal, written, and presentation communication skills Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as a member of a team Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Be worthy of commanding respect among peers and management officials Able to provide own housing and transportation during employment Must be able to pass a 10-year Background/Criminal check and pre-employment drug screen   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required: Currently enrolled as a full-time student at a university, college, or technical college Possess a minimum GPA of 3.0   Preferred: Declared major or minor in aviation or aerospace   PHYSICAL ACTIVITY Stand – 5% Walk – 5% Sit – 90% Lift – Up to 50 lbs   MENTAL CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS Requires ability to handle multiple activities at once and complete in a timely manner Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner Gather and analyze information skillfully with significant detail Ability to complete routine forms, use existing form letters, and/or conduct routine oral communication   Omni conditions all job offers on the candidate’s documentation of complete COVID -19 vaccination prior to the employment start date.
