Description

University Therapist needed for full and part-time positions in Philadelphia. These are temporary - Remainder of Fall 2021 semester through Spring 2022 semester (ending mid to late May 2022).

Function as Licensed Clinician conducting evaluation and treatment of individual undergraduate and graduate students using a range of modalities, including intake assessment/triage, crisis intervention, time-limited case consultation, ongoing psychological counseling, and referral as needed. Provide consultation and liaison to Student Affairs leadership and other academic and non-academic departments and relevant stakeholders regarding campus crises, mental health needs of students, medical leaves of absence, supporting academic success, and any other areas where psychological knowledge and skills are essential.

Assist with Preventative Outreach/Systemic Consultation to the Campus Community (including faculty, staff, and/or students) in designated domains (ex: Women's Health, Cultural Diversity, Alcohol & Other Drugs, Student Life, Academic Support & Retention, Severe & Persistent Mental Illness, etc.), relying on such methods as tailored needs assessments, program planning & evaluation, psycho-educational group facilitation, grant development, etc. Assist with the Graduate Psychology Training Program, including contributing to weekly didactic training, and providing weekly individual supervision of a master- or doctoral-level intern, including reviewing and approving intern progress notes and documentation, reviewing audio files, and providing consultation as needed.

Provide after-hours coverage as part of an on-call rotation for collaborating and coordinating the response to individual and campus-level crisis incidents, in coordination with the Director and Dean of Students. Attend and participate in Departmental/Division staff meetings, University Committee meetings, and other administrative tasks, including development and revision of SHAC Policies and Procedures (as assigned & schedule-permitting). Pursue opportunities for professional expertise development and complete continuing education activities as required by state licensing board regulations. Additional responsibilities will include participation in SHAC services orientation presentations and other SHAC- and campus-level duties and activities (as assigned and schedule permitting).

 
Position Requirements

PA LCSW with experience with assessment and treatment of college student population, campus-based outreach, and program development, and supervision and training of graduate psychology trainees preferred. Demonstrated commitment to working with a diverse student population, and with health professionals in training.
