Position Summary: Execute and plan work orders for manufacturing in the IFS system using the planning schedule. Create new inventory part numbers in the IFS system as required. Coordinate with various departments in the organization, to resolve any issues affecting planned delivery dates for spare parts, MRO items.

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications required:

  • Detailed oriented and good written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on experience
  • Knowledge of MRP, ERP Planning systems
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Problem-solving skills required
  • Ability to multi-task and work under deadlines
  • APICS affiliation preferred
  • Inventory Control

 

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Works with the purchasing/planning manager to ensure that spare parts and MRO items will be available to meet the company’s needs. Reviewing and assigning new part numbers in IFS system
  • Uses lead time information to ensure materials spare parts and MRO items are received in time to ensure both external and internal deadlines are met
  • Manages and oversees spare parts inventory transactions that may affect the production
  • Champion on-time delivery for machine parts
  • Issuing Shop orders and Shop work orders
  • Inputting Inventor part and sample parts
  • Tracking scrap and scrap reasons
  • Work closely with Technical staff to assure all required services are available
  • Act as a liaison between Technical Staff, warehouse (including inventory control), and manufacturing
  • Work with maintenance on planning equipment shutdowns
  • Work with Engineering on equipment installation and planning
  • Cross-train with machine spares and MRO item ordering
  • Any and all other duties that may be required
  • Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality systems
  • Must-Follow All Company Policies and Procedures
  • Reports any potential food safety, legality, quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
  • Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
