Email Opening Title Physical Therapist Aide  Description Job Summary The Physical Therapist Aide’s primary function is to perform designated routine tasks related to operation of Physical Therapy service but may assist with patient related activities which are predetermined for each patient and assigned by the physical therapist. All duties and responsibilities will be performed in accordance with the Yellowhawk Mission and Vision statements, core values, policies, procedures and relevant laws. Essential Job Functions Follows established procedures pertaining to the care of the equipment and supplies. Prepares, maintains, cleans up treatment areas; maintains supportive areas. Demonstrate compliance with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocol as per facility protocol. Assisting patients to walk, sit, and stand, as well as transporting them via wheelchair to locations within the facility. Performing administrative tasks, including ordering supplies, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments. Assists patients in preparation for and as necessary, during, and at conclusion of treatment. Assemble and disassemble equipment and accessories as directed Assist patients in the safe practice of activities related to the development of strength and endurance. Perform treatment procedures predetermined for each patient by the legally qualified Physical Therapist and in accordance with the training of the worker. Other duties as assigned.   Position Requirements Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent BLS certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to multi-task while maintaining high level of organization and attention to detail. Excellent telephone, customer service and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based setting as an effective team player. Represents Yellowhawk Tribal Health Center with a respected and viable presence in the community. Must submit to and pass a reference and criminal background check. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Preferred Qualifications Work experience as Physical Therapist Aide in outpatient setting. Experience working in a Tribal Healthcare System.
