Description

As a Splicer, daily work will involve all aspects of splicing distribution cables in underground, buried and aerial applications. The Fiber/Copper Splicer will also perform testing and create and maintain splicing records, diagrams and as-built records.

 
Position Requirements
  • Competent in splicing of Hi-Cap circuits and T1’s
  • Install and maintain pressurized closures; both Waffle and Preform
  • Knowledge & proficiency in paper/pulp cable splicing and pair identification
  • Complete accurate paperwork for material and customer billing tracking purposes
  • Operate all vehicles, equipment and tools while adhering to company safety standards
  • Complete daily inspections and reporting of maintenance issues on vehicles, trailers and equipment
  • Works efficiently to achieve a high level of daily productivity in a fast-paced environment
  • Understand and follow specific oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team
  • Willingness and ability to learn additional skills
