Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Sr. HR Business Partner will be an integral member of the HR team administering the HR-related programs in alignment with CDEV’s strategic goals. Based in our Midland, TX office with regular travel to the Pecos, TX and Hobbs/Eunice, NM offices, the ideal candidate will lead the Company’s Texas and New Mexico recruiting, selection, onboarding and retention efforts to ensure that we maintain top talent in the company. The successful candidate will be skilled in building relationships and communicating with all employees while helping maintain a work environment that encourages operational excellence, innovation, and fun.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with managers to ensure a positive work environment for all employees
  • Assisting leaders with managing and developing employees to ensure we maintain high performance as well as a high retention rate
  • Working with management to determine Texas and New Mexico staffing needs that feed the company’s workforce plan
  • Partnering with hiring managers to recruit and select top talent and successfully onboarding them into the organization
  • Leading employee relations efforts which includes serving as the primary point of contact for manager questions as well as handling employee relations issues as they arise
  • Building relationships with office and field employees and address any concerns
  • Able to answer benefits and compensation related questions as they arise
  • Communicating (and where necessary refining) HR-related policies and programs including, but not limited to, the employee handbook, drug testing policy, etc.
  • Determining training needs (technical, leadership, communication, etc.) and assisting with coordination and delivery of such training
  • Other projects as needed

 

Compensation & Benefits Information:

  • Salary range is approximately $85,200 - $105,000, depending on specific experience*
  • Other forms of compensation for this position include:
    • Target bonus of 15% of base salary and any eligible overtime wages (discretionary based on company and individual performance)

*Please note that Centennial may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range provided. Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree; PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred
  • 4+ years of Human Resources experience and a general knowledge of applicable employment law and best practices
  • Experience in the energy industry preferred
  • Ability to partner with leaders to positively influence employee culture
  • Ability to develop and communicate HR-related benefits, programs, policies, systems and trainings
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, and coaching skills
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and multitask effectively
