Contracts Administrator 

Description

PURPOSE

The Contracts Administrator position is responsible for providing contract evaluation, review, and revisions, and further provide general support to the legal department in the form of legal research, drafting of legal documents, contract management, and business communications.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES.

  • Facilitate and provide review of customer and vendor contracts, including, but not limited to review, revisions, and execution
  • Aid with management of contracts including provision compliance and tracking renewals and billing dates
  • Maintain organization of contracts in electronic form for ease of access and tracking
  • Manage data in the Contract Lifecycle Management platform
  • Compiles data, assembles, proofs and edits drafts of contracts, documents, leases, licenses and polices
  • Performs legal research, as needed, on matters involving negotiable instruments, contract law and other areas as directed
  • Assists internally in analyzing documents, progress of cases and review and ensure company’s compliance with regulations
  • Aid head of Legal Department with various projects as assigned
  • Note: This position is not responsible for supervising others
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of experience working in Contracts related field
  • 1+ years of contract administration experience or demonstrated ability to review and draft legal and business correspondence and documents
  • General knowledge of DOT regulations and continuing education in regulatory and compliance

Working conditions.

This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a minimum of 75% of the time,
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machines,
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs,
  • Constantly positions self in work environment,
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with peers, supervisors, vendors and drivers to exchange accurate information and answer questions,
  • Must be able to detect objects at a distance,
  • On occasion will move up to 20 pounds of office objects,
  • Works in an indoor office environment but expected to attend meetings in adjacent buildings requiring travel in outdoor weather conditions.
