We have an excellent career opportunity available. We are seeking a Director of Operations, Third Party Liability.

This position is a remote-based role with some travel requirements.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

 

The Director position functions as the operational leader of an assigned division and works in conjunction with RVP to develop, plan, direct, and control broad activities needed to ensure business success. The purpose of this position is to make tactical and strategic decisions guiding the service going forward. This position will oversee a an environment with high expectations from both internal and external sources. The ability to manage and maintain existing business while positioning the service line to take on new accounts is key. This position will have direct oversight of clients from multiple states, familiarity with the regulatory environments in those states is necessary. This position is very fast paced, with high pressure and demands experience in client and internal relations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Develop and ensure efficacy of KPIs used to manage and monitor success and
  • Lead team to achieve performance of short term goals and shares in long term planning with respective leadership team
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of service area for all states in which we operate, in accordance with MedData policies and procedures and applicable regulations including HIPAA, state/federal regulations related to operations, and labor regulations
  • Evaluate and resolve general and specific business conditions as they relate to operational issues, and keep appropriate corporate departments fully informed
  • Monitor and manage productivity of team members
  • Development of direct reports, develop/coach/mentor team members and define responsibilities
  • Strategic and tactical planning to identify areas for further development and exploration
  • Assist in sales efforts as we develop service line and help potential clients understand our value proposition, includes the ability to develop opportunities with other service lines with existing or potential clients
  • Assist in implementation of new clients
  • Oversee the employee evaluation process, including but not limited to performance evaluations, merit increases, and benchmark standards

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelors’ degree in related field preferred
  • 5 years’ experience in project or team management
  • 5-10 years of hospital revenue cycle experience highly preferred
  • Demonstrated creativity in solving problems
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines for Medicare and Medicaid Billing and HIPAA
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of both our organization as well as that of our customers. Includes frequent interaction with Executive level teams
  • Must be Client focused
  • Strong leadership and communication skills – written and oral, high service orientation and strong computer system and analytical skills are required
  • Must be adept at creating change and motivating teams through change
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Accustomed to working in a rapidly changing environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn computer applications
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task numerous system, employee and client urgencies.
  • Requires track record of outstanding leadership, team work and general management skills with budget and accounting practices
  • Ability to quickly and effectively communicate complex ideas/problems/solutions
  • Some travel will be required
