Not only instruct UMS drivers and coordinated UMS customers/ pickups, and mail/product going to or coming from customers, but also work in our production departments as well. Responsibilities and Duties Train new route drivers in accordance with company policies. Learn and be able to be a backup for all of our 21 daily routes throughout north central, central and south central WI that our Wausau office serves. Learn the operations of 3 of our primary production departments to be able to support staff as needed while working in the shop throughout the day. Supervise our fleet of 15 route vehicles (cargo vans, city vans, mini vans, pickup trucks) and handle all aspects of vehicle maintenance to include scheduling as-needed service, preventive maintenance, warranty and recall work. Shuttling vehicles to drop off for repair, basic safety checks and fueling of some vehicles. Basic automotive knowledge is desired. Initiating and monitoring transport of mail, printed materials and supplies between our four other locations in the state of WI. Perform basic customer service needs with our client base as well as with other personnel at other UMS locations.
