Share Email Opening Title Buyer  Description Manage buying deck comprised of closures product line components/raw materials Prepare RFQ’s and source components that meet/exceed Product Line business case and timing requirements Analyze cost breakdowns to negotiate best value for programs Meet/exceed individual cost savings target and support achievement of annual SCM direct material cost performance Schedule and participate in VAVE workshops Identify/develop qualified new suppliers and review with cross-functional teams for consideration Monitor supplier performance and initiate actions to improve suppliers with below average score cards Develop commodity strategies to support required technology, quality, and costs Process engineering changes, problem cases and cost recoveries Responsible for commercial agreements with suppliers Resolution of commercial issues with suppliers Support flawless launches on all projects   Position Requirements Required: 3+ years of purchasing experience, preferably within automotive industry Demonstrated ability to manage 20+ suppliers Strong ability to multitask and quickly prioritize and re-prioritize tasks Demonstrated negotiation experience Strong communication skills Analytical/data-based decision-making skills Familiarity with MRP system Willingness to travel as required domestically and internationally Preferred: Ability to speak, read and write Spanish Knowledge of metal raw materials and metal forming processes   Education Requirement Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field required, Masters degree preferred.   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Shift -not applicable-   Location Inteva Products, LLC - World Headquarters and Troy Technical Center   Req Number PUR-21-00040   About the Organization Inteva Products is a leading global automotive supplier providing innovative, reliable, environmentally friendly products that enhance vehicle quality, safety and performance.
