The Loan Support Specialist is responsible for providing prompt, accurate, and proactive member service while working with members and credit union staff to complete all processing activities for consumer loan applications. This position also focuses on:

  • Reviews assigned consumer loan applications, verifying that all necessary information related to the applicant, collateral, and pricing are included and accurate. Completes all required pre-funding tasks. Ensures required compliance disclosures are generated properly and delivered to the borrower per regulation. Produces all loan closing documents required for the relevant loan type. Assists with the allocation of funding information to ensure ease of loan finalization.
  • Obtains and properly reviews all necessary supporting loan documentation prior to processing contractual documentation for signing. Works with third-party vendors to procure supporting loan documentation as needed.
  • Responds to all loan-related inquiries in a timely manner. Conducts all communication (written, verbal, and face-to-face) with all persons (members, teammates, staff, and vendors) in a clear, kind, collaborative, and constructive manner.
  • Maintain service levels for all processing turn-times as set forth by management.
  • Complies with applicable laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Full Time Position

Compensation: $17.15 - $24.22 p/hr

 
Position Requirements

Experience: A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience. Prefer one year of lending experience or three years of financial institution experience.

Education: A high school degree or equivalent

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy and tact are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with customers and others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding fairly routine matters for the purposes of giving and obtaining information or instructions, updating or referring. Communications require shorter and not in-depth discussions most of the time.

Bondability Employment at Blue Federal Credit Union is contingent upon successful bondability.
