Share Email Opening Apply Now Title Junior Floral Designer  Location Bold Catering & Design - Design   Description The Junior floral Designer will work under the direction of the Floral Manager and the Senior Floral Designers in the department. They will be responsible for all assigned jobs from the Senior Floral Designers and the Floral Department Management team. The Junior Designer must know how to setup and dismantle an event and insure all aspects of production and execution of the events are maintained to BOLD Design standards. The goal of a Junior Designer should be to learn/ develop experience and knowledge to become a Senior Designer and an Floral Event Lead. Pre-Event Responsibilities: Assist in pulling and prepping of all floral elements Assist in packing of floral and assisting loading of trucks Assist Senior designer that all elements are ready to go and on truck Build all floral elements of the event including but not limited to Personals and centerpieces. Be present during the loading of the trucks Pack tool kit or tool bag with all need materials, lighters and tools Pack all elements necessary for wrapping floral carts at strike. Sit Pre-con from time to time in place of the senior designer Day of Event Responsibilities: Able to install and dismantle all floral aspects of the event Follow direction of Floral Lead and Senior Floral Designer assigned to the event. Supervise care of items, being sure they are handled with care and safety Ensure all item are returned to the warehouse with the same care and packaging as they were delivered When necessary, return to warehouse following strike and return floral to cooler Ensure that all floral items are wiped free of finger prints and that all floral detritus is removed from event surfaces and floor. Place all linens/ votives and floral according to floor plan Strike all event elements carefully and repackage the items in the boxes they were delivered in. Manage packing of all carts to minimize truck space and to insure safety Properly label all carts of items for ease of installation. Ability to train support staff of simple floral mechanics.
