Share Email Opening Title Maintenance High Pressure Processing (HPP) Tech  Description This position is part of the Suja Life, Inc. Maintenance Team and plays a role in improving overall reliability and performance of manufacturing and infrastructure equipment. This employee is critical to the performance and continued growth of Suja. The Industrial Maintenance Technician's primary purpose is maintaining plant equipment at optimum efficiency. Employee will be required to use their troubleshooting skills and experience to resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic (etc.), problems that may occur. This employee answers directly to Level A Technicians and would also be responsible for development and training of lower lever maintenance technicians, machine operators and helpers to improve machine efficiencies. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Must have a thorough understanding of how HPPs work, and the risks associated with them. Increase uptime and consistency of HPP equipment while reducing the overall operating cost. This includes but is not limited to the following routine maintenance and repair activities: Fixing oil and water leaks. High pressure pipe replacement. Intensifier repairs. Cleaning. The ability to observe a situation, correctly diagnoses the problem, and implement a corrective action with little or no supervision. Work with the equipment manufacturer to troubleshoot and solve reoccurring or unusual problems or component life failings. Implement equipment manufacturers updates and improvements. Interpret and use schematics and blueprints related to the mechanical / electrical attributes of the equipment. Must demonstrate a working knowledge of lock out tag out, and confined space entry. Must have the ability to update the sites work order system of daily activities. Ongoing personal development, which includes staying up to date on current maintenance techniques as they relate to the operation and updates associated with HPP equipment. Participates in the Safety and housekeeping programs. Performs other duties as directed by the Plant Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor Process Engineer and Level A Technician.   Position Requirements 3-5 years of documented experience with High Pressure Processing equipment maintenance. Electrical knowledge and skill in troubleshooting motors and controls, basic high and low voltage circuit tracing. Knowledge of hydraulic systems. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Must have required basic hand tools. Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines The environment may be wet or dry and temperatures <40F.   BASIC SKILLS: Basic knowledge of mathematics, algebra, and physics Preventive/Predictive knowledge and experience Ability to properly move machinery using hoist, cranes, dollies, rollers and trucks Ability and knowledge to properly use tools and equipment such as drill presses, jacks, slings, and other types of portable and hand tools. Ability and willingness to work in widely varied environments Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization Ability to develop strong working relationships with production Good critical thinking and troubleshooting skills The ability to demonstrate good organization skills Strong customer focus and willing to go the extra mile   A competitive compensation and benefits package is offered.
