Summer Intern - Human Resources (Recruiting) 

Location San Antonio - Corporate  
Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time  
Salary Range $15.00  
Shift Days  
Scheduled Days Monday - Friday 

Scheduled Hours 8:30am - 5pm 


Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting the department in carrying out various human resources programs, processes and procedures for our employees.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist with employee requests
  • General filing, copying, faxing and other clerical activities of a variety of confidential, human resources related documents
  • Assist in screening qualified applicants to include initial screening to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements
  • Arrange interviews and travel arrangements for applicants
  • Complete employment verifications as requested
  • Assist in the processing and of new hires, I-9 verifications, status changes and termination paperwork, appropriately maintaining employee files
  • Evaluate paperwork for completeness and accuracy, make changes and complete forms as necessary. Oversee incomplete paperwork and follow up as needed
  • Maintain and enter data into various human resources databases in a timely manner
  • Assist with open enrollment process
  • Work with the HR team to coordinate special projects, events or activities
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Maintains confidentiality of company information
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Position Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Currently completing an undergraduate degree relating to Human Resources
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
