Essential Job Functions

  • Works as an essential part of the precast manufacturing team.
  • Functions as our Precast Mfg. Lead and fills in for the Plant Manager when he/she is unavailable or offsite.
  • Follows Wilbert company procedures, policies and helps insure the same practices are performed by other company Precast Mfg. personnel in the same manner.
  • Assists Plant Mgr. to insure that the quality standards set by Wilbert and the Plant Mgr. are maintained. Help identify problems in batch design, form preparation & condition, pouring & finishing processes, form striping and product handling & storage.
  • Identifies manufacturing equipment needing repaired or replaced. Works with Plant Mgr. to see these repairs or replacements are completed in a timely manner.
  • Helps Plant Mgr. maintain a sufficient level of raw materials and supplies to meet production requirements.
  • Assists Plant Mgr. in Recommending & Implementing methods to: improve production, optimize equipment life/performance, optimize product quality and minimize overall expense. Understand and use Lean Manufacturing methods to improve workflow and productivity.
  • Maintains the Mfg. Plant's origination and cleanliness on a consistent basis.
  • Helps Plant Mgr. maintain proper inventory levels of finished goods. Help in monthly inventory counts and reconciliation of issues. Assist in implementing procedures that reduce inventory variances.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications

  • High School Degree or equivalent work experience and 2 years of precast experience in concrete manufacturing.
  • Familiar with modern manufacturing methods and recognize where they may be most effective.
  • Ability to interact with others respectfully and develop productive working relationship to minimize conflict and maximize rapport
  • Ability to communicate and influence members of the workforce to produce desired results.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of manufacturing process
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards
  • Intermediate MS Word and Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Natural leadership abilities
