We leverage our extensive clinical expertise across the organization to provide integrated and comprehensive support to the 22,000 clients and families we serve each year.
Empower is “Engaging and Motivating People through Opportunities in Wellness, Education, and Recreation” at multiple sites throughout eastern North Carolina. Empower programs are offered to individuals with an intellectual or developmental disability. Programming includes afterschool, summer camp, respite, and transition to employment services. Our trained staff facilitates skill building for independence and inclusion through activities such as field trips, social skill building, community internships, recreation, and more.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Empower Program Director is responsible for the overall operation of the program. Responsibilities include ensuring best practices, implementing supports based on the personal outcomes of the individual and/or family, and maintaining compliance with all state, federal, and agency standards as required for assigned services. This position participates in the development of long-range program plans and innovative program enhancements.
