Federal SaaS Sales Executive

The Role

This Sales executive will be on our Federal customer focused team. Will be responsible for successfully marketing and selling Torch.AI products and services by originating, developing, and closing business partner channels and by positively influencing government customers on the merits of Torch.AI technology. The successful individual will be fluent in enterprise data solutions specifically in the federal/defense market.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales within industry specific and territory specific space from lead generation to contract signature via set-aside prime contractor channel partners.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities aligned with the company's capabilities, products, and services
  • Actively engage prospective customers in exploring a business relationship with the company and our channel partners
  • Develop productive and long-term relationships with partners and customers that lead to new business opportunities and wins
  • Analyze and identify all necessary requirements for government solicitations
  • Develop and maintain vibrant active lead generation and provide updates on all stages of opportunities on a regular basis.
  • Actively drive and monitor opportunity activity and progress and provide updates on a regular basis.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure high quality briefs, pilots and solutions are delivered.
  • Maintain partner and customer relationships by collaborating with the product, marketing and engineering teams as needed.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to and technical staff to develop solutions that offer customers recognized value, are price competitive and executable.
  • Maintain all sales related internal systems, CRMs, and opportunity trackers.

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience selling software or hardware enterprise data solutions specifically within the federal/defense market, and with the “back end” of the tech stack (such as data ingest, databases, data warehousing, etc.).
  • Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Business, STEM or other related field or equivalent professional work experience.
  • Prior success selling solutions deployed within containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) on prem, Cloud and/or SaaS
  • A working understanding of Enterprise Service Bus middleware solutions (e.g., Tibco, MuleSoft, etc.).
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in the procurement process for complex technology systems and federal acquisition contracting vehicles.
  • Proven ability to deal with technical and management representatives of Federal Government and Military customers
  • Ability to frame and clearly articulate compelling stories around technology and business opportunities to a diverse audience of potential partners
  • Prior demonstrative success building and maintaining business relationships, particularly with the federal government and defense contractors
  • Proven ability to successfully work across all levels of an organization, including executive, management, and creative and technical staff

Additional/Preferred:

  • Experience with AI/ML technology.?
  • Understanding of JAVA, XML, JSON, data tags, metadata technology.
  • Experience with solutions that ingest structured and unstructured data from disparate data sources.
  • Experience with NLP and or OCR.
  • Experience with NGINX for configurations and component control.
  • Experience with SOAP and REST APIs.
