This policy extends to all current and future employees of Asheville Humane Society.   Description The Animal Care position is responsible for the direct care of the animals housed at the Asheville Humane Society and the Buncombe County Animal Shelter. Animal Care has the responsibility of cleaning, feeding, basic care, husbandry, and enrichment of the animals, as well as providing customer service to Buncombe County citizens visiting the shelter. The Animal Care position works as part of the Shelter Operations and has frequent contact with co-workers, volunteers, and members of the public. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills, is highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, and likes working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ability to juggle multiple demands and work collaboratively is critical. Working environment includes exposure to loud noises. This position may include weekend hours and work schedule may vary depending on the organizational needs of Asheville Humane Society.
