Position Summary:

As an Ice Rink Ambassador at Edgewood Tahoe you greet arriving guests, address them by name whenever possible, welcome them in a friendly manner. You will monitor conditions on the ice and see that guests are safe and following safety rules. You will also assist in maintaining overall guest flow of the check in process with management to ensure details are handled properly and guest receive service that goes above and beyond. Essential Functions:

  • Be able to ice skate.
  • Monitor arena ice during sessions as required.
  • Assist in distribution and receiving rental skates.
  • Enforce established safety rules and policies.
  • Check guests for wrist bands.
  • Handle accidents appropriately.
  • Assist operations in ice maintenance.
  • Keep work area clean and well maintained.
  • Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
  • During shift, rotate to shoe fitting area to provide skate rentals to guests if needed.
  • Assist in maintaining skate inventory.
  • Assist in sanitization of skate rental, cleaning of surrounding areas and basic cleaning.
  • Complete assigned cleaning duties and side work.
  • Sincerely thank guests as they leave and inviting them to return.
  • Must come to work dressed for extreme weather conditions.
  • Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Position Requirements

Qualifications / Special Skills:

  • Upbeat, outgoing, and professional personality with strong communication skills.
  • Must possess computer skills; Guest Center (OpenTable) experience a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized, take direction and work independently.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Excellent verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Available to work varied shifts when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
