Position Traffic Engineer/Transportation Planner  

Alliant Engineering has a great opportunity for a Graduate Traffic Engineer II to join our beautiful downtown Minneapolis office! You will have the ability to be a part of a cohesive Traffic Engineering team, conduct traffic signal operations analyses, help deliver signal timing projects, and participate in other wide ranging transportation study related projects.

Position Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Two (2) to Six (6) years of experience in Traffic Engineering
  • Strong experience with traffic operations software such as Synchro/SimTraffic, Highway Capacity Manual, and VISSIM is preferred
  • Signal Timing and Signal Controller Experience is preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent technical, written and oral communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microstation or AutoCAD
