JOB SUMMARY
Shall assist the Facility Manager with all duties of the Facility Maintenance department. Will supervise and assign Facility Technicians on building maintenance needs. In supervisor's absence will assume responsibilities for department operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Guest Service to ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient and quality staff service.
2. Shall assist the Facility Manager with job order assignments and ensure that task is completed timely and accurately.
3. Monitor routine inspection and maintenance of building operational needs, including heating/air flow systems, fire systems, structural codes and other preventative means.
4. Provide Technicians with hands-on training when assisting with carpentry, plumbing, electrical or welding projects. Monitor progress and job skills accordingly.
5.Promotes a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guest and instruct technicians with proper techniques. Promptly reports all concerns to supervisor.
6. Supervise technicians, including scheduling, leave, evaluations and personal development.
7. Coordinate with Facility Manager, a training program for technicians and monitor progress.
8. Respond to emergency facility needs and handle accordingly.
9. Ensures compliance requirements are followed through regulatory laws, PP&P, department policy and procedures, codes, etc.
10. Coordinate supply inventory, needs and shipments with supervisor.
11. Work closely with training and/or apprenticeship program on developing certified technicians.
12. Ensure operation of equipment, tools, materials, etc. are handled in a safe manner.
13. Promote internal guest service standards by treating employees with courtesy and respect through a positive attitude.
14. Other related duties as assigned.
