POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Specialist will manage daily, weekly and monthly assignments related to maintaining Extang and Rugged Liner's sales goals and requirements (product applications, sales reports, pricing files, customer files, etc.) and special assignments as required. The position will interface with the OE and aftermarket sales and customer service teams on a regular basis.

CORE FUNCTIONS:

  • Create and maintain customer and sales-based product application matrix (Weights & Dims Sheet) for all products (Aftermarket & OE, Extang and all private label) with common and standardized vehicle descriptions, fitments, model year ranges, package dimensions, weights and all levels of pricing. Manage the dissemination of this information with sales, customer service, marketing, engineering, and customers as required to ensure consistency across the Brands.
  • Order promotional items and follow through to delivery for all sales team members, manage communication with dealers, company vehicle maintenance, promotional swag, issue credits, manage studio scheduling, update and maintain all customer contacts and distribution lists, manage the co-op budget, organize and maintain sales / show areas and manage new product test groups.
  • Work closely with all sales members to manage complex customer order questions / status that have been escalated, order promotional covers, attend and project manage all aspects of the trade shows for the Brands, manage the co-op and promotions budget.
  • Manage the key performance indicators for the monthly sales report to leadership, performance to budget (sales and expenses), sales team performance tracking, displays, sales bookings and preferred dealer activities.
  • Manage and communicate the comprehensive master service parts lists and installation sheets for each product including OE and aftermarket including pricing. Manage the install sheets and parts available on Extang.com.
  • Sales team performance tracking and reporting including data in SalesForce regarding metrics Regional Sales Managers are submitting related to calls, quarterly commission reporting and tracking, customer discounted order tracking.
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or a related field is desired.
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service / sales support.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically in Excel.
  • Use of Great Plains is a plus.

Required Licenses

  • Standard driver’s license is required to operate company vehicles.

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand retail pricing and gross/net margin modeling.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematics, compute percentages, create calculations via use of formulas.
  • Excellent problem-solving decision making and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management.
  • Function efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Less than 5% of time to travel.
